70 -- SOFTWARE FOR CONTROLLING HEWLETT PACKARD (HP) OPTICAL JUKEBOXES SOL RFQ5-20425/033 POC Scott Sanner, Contract Specialist, 301-286-6304 Leigh Anne Giraldi, Contracting Officer, 301-286-4962. NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to issue RFQ5-20425/033 on a competitive basis for the purchase and installation of software for controlling Hewlett Packard (HP) optical jukeboxes, including maintenance of the software and jukeboxes. Specifically, the Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Branch requires software to control two HP optical jukeboxes connected to one Silicon Graphics (SGI) challenge-S server running the most recent version (5.2) of the SGI operating system. This softrware must make the optical storage appear as a single on-line logical device with a single mounted file system. Access to data on the jukebox' must be identical to accessing data on a standard magnetic disk. The software must support other storage devices such as digital linear tapes connected to the same server as the jukeboxes. Also required is one year (12 months) of maintenance and support of the software including 24 hour/day telephone support and software upgrades when applicable. Finally, one year (12 months) maintenance of two HP optical jukeboxes (C1715T) including coverage Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm EST with a four hour response time is required. Proposals will be evaluated for technical compliance with price and price related factors being the determing criteria. This procurement is set-aside for small businesses pursuant to FAR part 13.105.
