anticipates entering into a Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite-Quantity type
contract for a period of twelve months commencing the date of award
for the acquisition of estimated 1,500,000 pounds of YARN-0004, 9.5/1
CP OE cotton yarn 4.90 twist multiple. 105 grains per 120 yard skein.
Minimum breaking strength 240 lbs. Yarn must be well combed and
relatively free of motes and foreign matter. All yarn to be put on
three degree tapered cones with a 2-3/4 inch base. Guaranteed minimum
quantity: 35,000 pounds. Maximum quantity: 1,500,000 pounds. FOB
Destination USP Terre Haute, IN. Delivery will be required 30 days
after receipt of delivery order. Each bidders shall submit one sample
cone of 2 pounds of yarn to be evaluated at UNICOR, Terre Haute for 105
grain skein weight and a minimum breaking point of 240 pounds as well
as evenness absence of trash contamination. This is to ensure that the
quality of the yarn stays consistent through out the life of the
