817-885-6143, Contracting Officer Concerns having the ability to
furnish the following services are requested to give written
notification within 30 days from the date of this synopsis. The General
Services administration has awarded the Western zone aggregated switch
procurement (Asp) contracts to replace existing telephone systems at
consolidated locations in San Antonio and Houston, TX. During the 21
month implementation period in which the Asp contractors will be
installing newsystems, the Government intends to obtain fully digital
services capable of supporting approximately 1070 off premise Main
station lines in San Antonio and 240 Main station lines in Houston with
direct digital termination on FTS 2000 network from the local exchange
Carrier. (space for switching equipment will not be provided). Number
of lines at individual locations varies from 130 to 470. Service will
be from August 15, 1995 through July 24, 1996, for Houston unless
agreements are terminated earlier for cutover to an Asp system.
Government has the authority to terminate agreement within 30 days
writtennotice. See Note 22. This is not a formal Solicitation. However,
concerns that respond should furnish detailed data concerning their
capabilities. Interested parties should address correspondence to the
