Interested SDB concerns should notify this office in writing, of their intention to bid the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but not later than 15 days from the date of this notice. THE NOTIFICATION MUST CONTAIN A POSITIVE STATEMENT OF ELIGIBILITY AS A SMALL SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS CONCERN AS DEFINED BY THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. THE NOTIFICATION MUST ALSO CONTAIN EVIDENCE OF THE CAPACITY TO OBTAIN A BID BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF 100% OF THE AMOUNT BID, AND AT THE TIME OF AWARD PAYMENT BOND (50% OF PRICE) AND PERFORMANCE BOND (100% OF PRICE) AT THE TIME OF AWARD. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 1761 Roofing and Sheet Metal Work. This size standard is $7 million. The work includes demolition, disposal and replacement of approximately 18,500 s.f. of corrugated metal siding and metal framed rigid fiber insulation panels with new metal siding and vinyl faced batt insulation and incidental related work on Aircraft Hanger 4, Building 3148. Contractors within the local area are encouraged to pick-up a copy of the solicitation at Building 212, First Floor, Plan Room between 0730 and 1500 Monday through Friday at the Washington Navy Yard. There will be no charge for these documents, however, they will be issued on a first come first serve basis and there will be only one set issued per contractor. The projected dated of issuance is 27 June 1995. The projected date of bid opeing is 27 July 1995.
