The work to be performed under this acquisition includes (a) earthwork for approximately 3.8 miles of pipelines which includes constructing approximately 1.59 miles of operation and maintenance roads with gravel surfacing, (b) furnishing and laying approximately 3.8 miles of 6-inch through 30-inch diameter reinforced concrete or PVC pressure pipe, (c) earthwork for and constructing miscellaneous hydraulic reinforced concrete structures, (d) furnishing and installing cast iron slide gates and lifts and (e) furnishing and installing gate valves with valve wells, air/vacuum relief valve wells and air vents. The estimated price range of the work is $500,001 to $1,000,000. The work is located approximately 4 miles northwest of Newell, South Dakota in Butte County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available July 03, 1995. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before July 20, 1995. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for August 03, 1995 at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Newell Field Office, 209 Dartmouth, Newell, South Dakota. The contract is to be completed by May 10, 1996. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Newell Field Office or Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. For this acquisition, the small business size standard is $17,000,000 and the standard industrial classification code is 1629. Note: This requirement is currently being negotiated with the Small Business Administration (SBA) under Public Law 95.507 section 8(a). If no award is made to the SBA, a bid opening date will be set and a solicitation issued for the acquisition on the approximate dates shown above.
