on two sites on American Lake at Ft. Lewis, WA. The sites are
approximately 1 mile apart and are identified as The Marina Site and
Shoreline Park. The principle elements of work are as follows: 1. At
the Marina Site, the following is required: a) MARINA SUPPORT FACILITY:
Construction of an approximately 5,000 square foot, slab-on-grade, wood
frame building with wood shingle exterior and metal roof. The building
contains an approximately 800 square foot kitchen, a bar, a dining
area, and a fireplace. b) PICNIC PAVILIONS: Construction of two
slab-on-grade, open-sided cement masonry unit (CMU) structures with
metal roof. Floor areas are approx. 1000 and 1600 square feet. c) BOAT
MAINTENANCE BUILDING: Construction of an approximately 1300 square
foot slab-on-grade wood frame structure with metal roof. This building
has a covered boat storage area, metal roof, of approximately 3,500
square feet adjacent to it. This structure includes a boat launching
facility. d) PARKING LOT: There is an approximately 70,000 square
asphalt concrete (AC) paved parking lot and approaches. e) RELOCATED
MARINA: An existing 70-slip marina is to be relocated adjacent to the
Marina Support Facility. The marina will require new piling to control
its location and a new ramp to shore. The marina will be moved
approximately 1/2 mile, and will include new breakwater protection,
additional marina slips, and a fuel dock. f) MISCELLANEOUS SITE WORK:
Included are overhead and underground electric wiring, sewer lines,
water lines, area drainage systems, signage, and landscaping. 2. At the
Shoreline Park site, the following is required: a) PARTY RENTAL
FACILITY: Construct an approximately 1,600 square foot slab-on-grade,
wood frame structure with shingle exterior and metal roof. b) NEW
RESTROOM FACILITY: Construct an approximately 500 square foot,
slab-on-grade, CMU structure with metal roof. c) BEACH CONTROL
FACILITY: Construct an approximately 300 square foot, slab-on- grade,
CMU structure with an approximately 1200 square foot metal roof. d)
PARKING LOT: There is an approximately 80,000 square AC paved parking
lot and approaches. e) FUEL TANK REMOVAL: There are 2 fuel tanks of
approximately 500 gallons each to be removed. Tanks may contain
residual fuels. f) MISCELLANEOUS SITE WORK: Included are overhead and
underground electric wiring, sewer lines, water lines, area drainage
systems, landscaping, playground equipment, sidewalks, fencing,
floating docks, a 9-hole miniature golf course, signage, and a PA
system. Plans and specs available on or about 27 Jun 95 at $78.00 per
set. No refunds will be made and documents need not be returned. No
individual sheets may be purchased. Documents will be issued on a first
come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. No phone or FAX
requests accepted. Refer to IFB No. NAFFM3-95-B-0077 when ordering.
Checks should be made payable to CUSTODIAN, A.M.W.R.F., CFS ATTN:
STICKLES and must be received before bid documents will be mailed.
Checks may be handcarried to the Plans Room for purchase of the plans
and specs - Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 3:30
P.M. Submit requests by 20 Jun 95. Estimated dollar value is in the
range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and completion period is 365 days.
Standard Industrial Classification Code 1542. Project is open to both
large and small business. For the purposes of this procurement a
concern is considered a small business if its average annual receipts
