PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The proposed work is to install approximately 12,000 feet of 4-inch PVC underground water main and valves and 3300 feet of 8-inch PVC underground water main and valves, including connectins to existing tanks, buildings, and lines. Installation of the 4-inch PVC main will require spanning two gorges; one location requires replacement of main on existing suspension structure, and the other will require construction of a new structure. Standard Industrial Code is 1623; small business size standard is 17M. Estimated cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Plans and specifications will be are anticipated to be available on 12 Jul 95, until supply is exhausted. This procurement is being considered for 100% Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) set-aside. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible, but not later than 22 June 1995, indicated interest in the acquisition by providing to the Contracting Office above in writing the following: (1) evidence of capability to perform, including name and telephone number of references on similar type projects performed in the last three years; (2) a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern; and (3) company's single project and aggregate bonding capability. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted for full and open competition. (156)
