Z -- REMOVAL OF COBALT-60 SOURCES SOL F19650-95-B0012 POC Christine Feins, Buyer (617) 377-3085; Janice Book, Contracting Officer (617) 377-4592. This project consists of furnishing all labor, material, services and equipment (except master slave manipulators and a remotely controlled crane provided by the Government) required to remove the Cobalt 60 source located in Building 1126 Phillips Laboratory, Hanscom AFB MA. The source consists of the following: a. Ten cylindrical capsules of CO-60 containing approximately 19,800 Curies total (1,980 Curies per capsule). b. Ten cylindrical capsules of CO-60 containing approximately 7,100 Curies total (710 Curies per capsule). c. One dish source containing approximately 400 Curies of CO-60. The dimensions of the disk source are approximately 2 inches in diamenter by 1/4 inch thick. The contractor shall possess the proper U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license for receiving and removing capsules and the disk source. The Contractor shall meet the Bureau of Explosives, Department of Labor and Department of Transportation requirements. Tentative Bid Opening is late July 1995.
