The project is located north of Thorne Bay, Alaska on FDR 30 from milepost 23.1 to milepost 35.6. The beginning of the project is located approximately 5.5 miles north of Thorne Bay, Alaska. Thorne Bay is located on Prince of Wales Island which can only be reached by barge, float plane, or by the Alaska Marine Highway System via Hollis, Alaska.
