The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency, intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for two INMARSAT-B Earth Station terminals with STU-IIIA secure communications compatibility in all modes. The terminals must meet or exceed all type approval requirements for a class 2 terminal as specified in the INMARSAT System Definition Manual for Standard-B Earth Stations. The terminals must meet or exceed the following operating criteria: 16 Kbps or better full duplex voice; 64Kbps or better data/video transmission; 9.6Kbps or better group IV facsimile; STU-IIIA secure communications compatibility in all modes; selectable operating power up to 250VAc at 50/60 Hz or 12VDc; capable of operating at ambient temperatures between -4 degrees and 125 degrees Fahrenheit; has a full set of internal diagnostic functions and a full set of operating, maintenance and repair manuals.
