The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Atlantic Ranges and Facilities Dept., Telemetry Division, Patuxent River, MD, has a brand name or equal requirement for 1 (one) each Digital Frequency Demultiplexer with option provisions for an additional 5 (five) each Digital Frequency Demultiplexers. Options are valid for 36 months. This requirement must be equal to either Metraplex Corporation Model DFD20-01 or Loral Data Systems Model/Part Number EMR 8470. The specification contains requirements for Operational Stability, Operating Life, Power Cables, I/O Connectors, Maintenance Provisions, Feild Testing, Vibration, Temperature, and Relative Humidity. Also included in the specification are functional requirements for the DFDS Chassis Configuration, the DFDS Input Specification and Output Specification. The Digital Frequency Demultiplexer is a fully programmable frequency demodulation system and will expedite the processing of Frequency Multiplexed (FM) Data from magnetic tapes, radio telemetry receivers and microwave communication links.
