This procurement is to acquire Radar Video Simulator (RVS) System hardware required for shipboard and land based installations of ACDS including compliance with Congressional direction to install emulation devices in lieu of militarized equipment at landbase facilities. In particular the RVS System shall include the emulation of the SM-441 Video Signal Simulator whose purpose is to generate simulated radar video for distribution to ACDS display consoles installed at Navy shore based range and test facilities. The contractor shall provide all necessary designs, drawings, materials, and services to fabricate, test, and deliver a Radar Video Simulator (RVS) System. The RVS is used for testing or training applications in which a combat system requires simulation by a radar. The RVS simulates the required radar by producing video output with associated trigger and timing signals. It allows the combat system to be presented with a desired test scenario that might be very difficult and costly to produce using live radar. In addition to radar simulation the RVS shall simulate Identification Friend or Foe equipment. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
