for security police services to be performed at New Boston Air Station
(NBAS), Amherst, New Hampshire. Note: firms who have previously
requested a copy of the solicitation in response to the Sources Sought
synopsis published in the Commerce Business Daily on 12 May 95, do not
need to submit an additional request. Description: The contracted
police force shall, as a minimum, meet the USAF Security Police policy
and standards and physical condition requirements. Primary
responsibilities shall be: (1) to protect priority resources; (2) to
apprehend and detain violators; (3) advise violators of their rights;
(4) investigate incidents, offenses, and traffic accidents in
accordance with USAF directives; (5) safeguard disaster/crime scenes;
(6) direct traffic; (7) issue traffic citations; (8) process Security
Police forms and maintain records; (9) protect restricted/controlled
areas; (10) establish and maintain a Resource Protection Program; (11)
protect facilities, materiel, and personnel from injury or damage and
protect funds and classified information; (12) protect USAF resources
during advanced threat and emergency conditions. All personnel shall
be able to obtain a favorable National Agency check performed by the
Defense Investigative Service. Employees shall be authorized to bear
firearms. The contract will require 24 hour, 365 day security services,
including all holidays. The contract duration consists of one (1) year
basic period and will include four (4) option years. Respondents
capable of satisfying the requirements stated herein and who are
interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation should submit their
request in writing within 15 days of this publication to Mr. Lee
Nadeau, ESC/PKOB, 104 Barksdale Street, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731-1806.
Portions of the solicitation, in draft form, are currently posted on
the Hanscom Electronic RFP Bulletin Board (HERBB). Additionally, a site
visit at NBAS is scheduled for 19 Jun 95 at 10:00am E.T.
Pre-registration information, visitation rules and directions to NBAS
can be accessed on HERBB by downloading file SITE.TXT. An RFP Library
located at Hanscom AFB is tentatively scheduled to open on or about 10
Jun 95. The library will contain all documents relevant to the
solicitation which offerors may view. Instructions for scheduling an
appointment to use the RFP Library are also posted on HERBB in file
RFPLIB.TXT. HERBB can be accessed via computer and modem by dialing
