equipment, tools, mobilization and demobilization to the project site,
transportation, supervision and permits necessary for the Renovation
of the Recreation Facility, Phase 3, USCG Support Center, Kodiak, AK.
The workincludes the removal of all asbestos containing materials (ACM)
from interior finishes and insulated steam and condensate piping,
installation of structural seismic bracing and floor reinforcing,
interior renovation of 32,400 gross square foot floorarea consisting of
demolition and replacement of finishes including floors, walls, and
ceilings and partitions for administrative offices, teen center,
aerobic fitness and dance, weight lifting areas, gymnasium and lobby.
Associated work includes newheating, ventilating and DDC temperature
control systems, fire sprinkler, detection and alarm system
modifications, new toilet room plumbing, and new electrical
distribution system, new lighting system, new safety CCTV surveillance,
new perimeter doorsecurity IDS and communication systems throughout,
and relocation of existing secondary distribution panels. Exterior work
includes new exit concrete stairs, sidewalks and minor concrete
patching and painting. The estimated construction price range isbetween
$1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Duration of contract period is approximately
14 months. Applicable SIC is 1542. Plans and Specifications are $20.00
a set and are nonrefundable. Checks must be made out to ''U. S. Coast

capital and bonding assistance fortransportation-related contracts.

The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
providesan 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending
Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.For further
