This notice is being made to generate inerest in a tentative construction project to upgrade the fuel dispensing system at Building 257 (Gas Station) located at the Defense Depot Memphis, Tennessee. The general scope-of-work for this project is as follows: th contrator shall furnish all plant, equipment, appliances, transportation, fuel, supplies, material, labor, and perform all operations in connection with (a) removing and replacing pipes at the underground pits and in the pump room, (b) installing two new diesel assembled pump units and bulk diesel dispensing station, and (c) converting one of the above ground storage tanks and its dispenser from gas to diesel. Performance completion projected to be within 45 calendar days after the contractor receives the ``notice-to-proceed''. Applicable SIC is 1629. Date & Time of the site-visit will be provided in the solicitation document. It is expected that all bidders will visit the site of the work in order to thoroughly familiarize him/herself with the conditions existing there. Be aware that failure, on the part of the bidder, to acquaint him/herself with the conditions attending the work will not be sufficient reason for any increase in contract price. The estimated range for this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Be aware that all dates shown, in this announcement, are tentative and may be revised as becomes necessary.
