The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPNS) China Lake, CA intends to procure two 25 kilowatt cadmium telluride photovoltaic systems including data on a competitive basis. The systems shall be in accordance with the specifications provided in the RFP. Modules using silicon, selenium or any other technology are not acceptable for this project. Concentrators and tracking systems of any kind are unacceptable. Each system shall deliver 25kwp power in a voltage window betwn l50 and 250 VDC at l000 w/m2 plane of array irradiance, 50C cell temperature, air mass spectrum of l.5, and l m/s wind speed at l0 feet above grade. The system shall withstand the following site environmental conditions: -10 to +50C temperature, l0 to l00% humidity, 80mph wind, seismic zone 4, 20 pounds/ft2 snow loading. Delivery, inspection, and acceptance will be at Edwards Air Force Base, California. The solicitation will be released on or about 07 July l995 and will close 30 days thereafter.
