Officer The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
require a high-temperature, high-power blackbody system. Delivery and
installation of the system shall occur no later than three months after
contract date. This variable temperature blackbody source shall provide
the highest standards of stability and uniformity. NIST shall use the
blackbody as a stable calibration transfer source of high temperature
(up to 3000K) and of high radiant heat flux or total irradiance. NIST
shall supply an IBM-PC compatible 586, 90 MHZ computer using IEEE-488
interface language to monitor this system. A 60 kW power supply, the
blackbody assembly, and a pyrometer control compose the system. You may
