D -- COLD-SITE MAINFRAME & PERIPHERAL REPLACEMENT SERVICES SOL ATD-124-TA-95/0804 POC Contact Tom Antoniel, (205)544-5087 CSC intends to award, via competitive solicitations, a firm fixed priced subcontract covering one (1) base year and six (6) option years, for the emergency replacement of specified IBM-compatible mainframe and peripheral equipment in support of a ''cold-site'' disaster recovery program for NASA's ADP Consolidation Center (NACC) located in Huntsville, AL. The NACC is a 650 MIPS, 2.2 TB DASD data center and operates on a 24 hr, 7 days/week basis and supports users throughout the continental US and overseas locations. It will be the intent of CSC to award a subcontract which will allow for the emergency replacement, on a month-to-month rental basis, that equipment necessary to re-establish the NACC functions at a secondary ''cold-site'' data center location. The successful vendor will be required to deliver FOB Destination, any and/or all new and/or used OEM certified equipment, as listed, on an emergency basis within ten (10) calendar days after notification. The subcontract will also allow for a quarterly adjustment to the equipment list at specified agreed-to, or redetermination pricing. The successful vendor shall be required to demonstrate a level of corporate management and financial resources capable of responding with the delivery of equipment within the required time frame. Liquidated damages may be incorporated within the resulting subcontract. Multiple award (primary and secondary) subcontracts for this service may be entertained.
