contract award. The TEMPEST laser printers must be endorsed as having
met NSTISSAM/1-91 TEMPEST standards. An agency determination was made
by the user agency and by GSA through Certified TEMPEST Technical
Authority (CTTA) Officers that TEMPEST is a mandatory requirement. RFP
# OIS-KIM-5142-001-JF is scheduled to be issued July 8, 1995.
Interested small businesses who can provide a TEMPEST Laser Printer
that is endorsed by the National Security Agency as having met TEMPEST
standards specified and which provides a minimum of 8 pages per
minute, 2 mega-bytes of RAM, 45 internal scaleable fonts, and 600 DPI
or equal (as to the DPI) may send written requests for the solicitation
to the above address or FAX # 202-708-7027. The Government shall be the
sole determiner of its minimum needs. All responsible sources may
submit a response which will be considered by the agency.
Specifications and engineering drawings are not available for this
device. A substantial initial investment or an extended period of
preparation for manufacture is required to make this device TEMPEST
