Middleton Memorial VA Hospital, Madison, WI intends to negotiate with Lanier Worldwide on a Sole Source Basis to upgrade existing equipment. Authority FAR 6.302-1. Justification: Supplies or services required are available from only one responsible source. The equipment must be fully compatible with existing Lanier VoiceManager System. The equipment to be acquired includes: Lanier VoiceWriter 4800 cabinet w/CPU & module; VoiceManager Console; VoiceWriter Software; Digital line cards; VoiceWriter EX Dictate and Transcribe Stations; and Digital channel selector line cards. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source(s), capable of providing the required equipment are encouraged to respond. Only written responses will be considered. Responses must convey clear and convincing documentation of advantages to the Government to consider another source. The documentation shall include prices and descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bonafide capability of meeting this requirement.
