Officer, (804) 878-2900. The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate
(AATD) intends to negotiate noncompetitively with McDonnell Douglas
Helicopter Systems, Mesa, AZ. The objective of this program is to
transition developmental thermoplastic manufacturing processes into
production processes with applications in the Apache Longbow AH-64C/D
Improved Extended Forward Avionics Bay Subsystem (IEFABS) access doors
and enclosures. MDHS is the sole developer of and prime engineering
contractor for the Longbow AH-64C/D helicopter, and possesses unique
qualifications for fulfilling the contract's requirements based on
their possession of critical design, performance and other technical
data, and their having the systems engineering and product integration
expertise and responsibility to carry Longbow technology toward
production implementation. Per DFARS 235.006(b)(iv), any contract
resulting from this solicitation shall contain a cost-sharing
arrangement. Anticipated contract period is 14 months. Requests for
this solicitation must be submitted in writing to the above address.
Contract will be subject to export controls. Requests from U.S. firms
must include business size. Prior to award, any successful U.S. or
Canadian firm will be required to provide a ''DD Form 2345, Military
Critical Technical Data Agreement'' certification number issued in
accordance with DoD Directive 5230.25. See Numbered Note(s): 22.
