Y -- INSTALLATION OF POWER CONDITIONING SYSTEM/UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY (PCS/UPS) IN THE AUTOMATED FLIGHT SERVICE STATION (AFSS) AT HURON REGIONAL AIRPORT, HURON, SOUTH DAKOTA. This project requires installation of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), power distribution unit (PDU) and air conditioning equipment at the Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS) located on the Huron Regional Airport in Huron, South Dakota. The Contractor shall install a government furnished power conditioning equipment with associated feeders and electrical devices. The contractor shall furnish and install HVAC equipment as directed in the specifications and drawings. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Installation of power distribution unit (PDU) and UPS with associated switches and subfeeders; 2) Installation of new subfeeders from PDU to existing panelboards; 3) Installation of 200 kw load bank and controls; 4) Installation of HVAC equipment; and 5) Miscellaneous work as shown on the contract documents. Estimated bidding range is between $75,000 and $200,000. Bid documents are expected to be available on or about June 29, 1995. Bid opening is anticipated on or about August 8, 1995. This is applicable to to any eligible prime subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
