Estimated operformance period is 30 calendar days. Magnitude of construction is $25,000-$100,000. Anticipated notice to proceed is 8/28/95. The work consists of, but is not limited to, designing and constructing site grading in the lawn area, designing and construc- ting a 3 foot high wooden ornamental fence on property lines, and designing and constructing landscaping to the property lines. Soli- citation DTFA04-95-B-10013 will be issued o/a 6/30/95 and opened o/a 8/1/95 at 1:00 pm local time, Anchorage, AK. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. The con- tracting office will accept requests for solicitions by FAX (907) 278-7427. The acquisition is being solicited in compliance with P.L. 100-656, ''The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Title VII of the Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988.'' The solicitation is open to large and small business concerns. A Bid Guarantee of 20 percent of the bid price is required to be submitted with bids. Performance bond amount shall be 100 percent of the contract price. Payment bond amount shall be 50 percent of the contract price. For minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises only: The DOT Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance, and payment bonds up to $1 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
