two phases. Phase I is funded and Phase II is a straddle project. Phase
I includes, but is not limited to, renovate and upgrade finishes,
furnishings, and mechanical and electrical systems in the Community
Center Chapel. Construct storage room, and new electrical distributor
room. Phase II includes, but is not limited to, renovate and upgrade
finishes, mechanical and electrical system in offices, meeting rooms,
restrooms, courts, and fellowship hall, includes all site work.
Construct new entry lobby hallways and breezeway. Relocate belltower
and construct associated retaining walls, pad, ramps, and masonry
piers. Estimated cost range of the proposed acquisition is between
$1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Responsible sources may request this
solicitation by letter, or FAX (719 472-4404) containing their business
size and street address. For informational purposes the applicable SIC
code and small business size standard for this solicitation is one
where the average annual receipts of the concern and its affiliates for
the preceding three fiscal years does not exceed $17 million,
applicable SIC code is 1542. Acquisition is being considered as a 100%
set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs) as defined by
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 219.1006 and
205.207(d)(ii). Interested SDBs should provide the contracting office
as early as possible, but not later than 15 days after this notice,
evidence of their capability to perform the contract and their
willingness to submit a bid on this solicitation. A financial statement
from the firm's bank is also required as well as information
establishing their bonding capacity from a surety company. Bidders
using individual sureties must furnish all required information in
strict compliance with FAR 28.203. If adequate response is not received
from SDB firms, the solicitation converts, without further notice, to
unrestricted competition. Responses are encouraged from other business
concerns. A bid guarantee of 20% of the amount bid is required. The
solicitation is tentatively scheduled for issuance on or about 26 July
1995. Copies of this solicitation are limited to 50 and availability
is on a first come first serve basis. Concerns may review the
solicitation at this address or local plan rooms if copies are no
longer available. NOTICE TO BIDDERS: Funds are not presently available
for Phase II of this project. It is our intent to award a contract
based upon Fiscal Year (FY) 1995 funding actions. If FY 1995 funds
become available, award of Phase II will be made prior to 30 Sep 95.
Otherwise, actual award of contract will occur when FY 1996 funds
