The Special Communications Requirements Division of Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, St. Inigoes has a requirement for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). The UPS's are being procured to provide essential back-up power for various travel communication systems. The following salient characteristics apply. UPS units must be AC to AC units; 900VA a unit and operation time shall be a minimum of 12 minutes at a maximum current draw; input/output shall be at 120 VAC with a frequency selection for 50 or 60 Hz operation; shall generate on 2246/1000hz alert tone at -10db level when the UPS is operating on battery; shall have line surge protection; shall have at least 6 AC 110V 15A receptacles for radio equipment; shall have an LCD digital display to indicate: the % of load being used while on AC, % of battery back-up left until failure while on battery back-up, and batteries charging; shall weigh maximum 70 lbs; maximum 16'' depth, 12'' height, 9'; ability to step up source voltage at least 15% for output of the UPS; 5 year performance warranty on all parts and labor. Basic quantity is 140 units with an option for 20 additional units. Delivery schedule is 90 Days after contract award for the basic quantity. Option will be excercised within 365 days of contract award with delivery of option quantities 90 days after exercise of of the option.
