70 -- BAR CODE SYSTEM SOL 8162 DUE 072295 POC Karen Phillips (703)648-7372 (contact), Annamaria Ashworth (703)648-7371 (CO) The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Water Resources Division (WRD) has a requirement for a turnkey bar coding system for tracking and inventorying warehouse inventory and other property at the WRD Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF) located at the Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Also included is the potential for up to approximately 16 intelligent scanners for five pilot areas within the USGS. The items to be acquired must have the capability of uploading and downloading data via a UNIX based Data General Aviion 300 workstation. Installation, associated documentation, and on-site training will also be required. The delivery time for the HIF is 10 weeks from the date of contract award. Delivery to pilot areas is 30 days from the date of delivery order. Delivery will be to the Stennis Space Center, Mississippi and 14 other locations throughout the continental United States. Solicitation 8162 is anticipated to have a 12 month base year and three 12 month option years. Specifications will be available with Solicitation No. 8162.
