70 -- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI), ON-SITE ADP HARDWARE MAINTENANCE, RFI H705740 Contact, Paul Douglass, A1-05, (509) 376-6700. Westinghouse Hanford Company (WHC), the Management and Operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy, Richland Operations Office, Richland, Washington is requesting information from vendors who can provide hardware maintenance for multiple mainframe computers and peripherals located in Richland. The equipment includes: IBM 3090/400J, IBM disks and controllers, IBM tape drives and controllers, Hewlett Packart 3000/987, Hewlett Packard laser printers. Hitachi 9060, Hitachi disk and controllers, Memorex disk, and controllers and Memorex cartridge tape units and controllers. Maintenance on most mainframes and major components require 24 hours a day 7 days a week coverage. Maintenance includes remedial, preventative and on-call (parts and labor), work to be done on site. Maintenance calls require 2 hour on-site response by the field engineer(s). Spare parts must be available within 4 hours. Parts must be new standard or certified as equal in performance to new. Supplier shall provide an adequate inventory of parts, maintenance manuals, schematic diagrams and amendments, test equipment and tools, microcode on all devices equal to current installed levels. Verification of Field Engineers experience on the equipment and U.S. citizenship will be required. Information regarding the vendor's ability to provide this on-site service is desired. Vendors furnishing the above information should include price lists for government customers, GSA schedule, if applicable. There is no intent to award a contract on the basis of this synopsis, but to gather information. Please reference No. H705740 in all responses to this synopsis.
