Whittaker, (803)577-5011x7789 Competitively negotiate a contract for electronic transmission of insurance claims to a clearing house. Contract will include VA Medical Centers in Atlanta, GA; Augusta, GA; Dublin, GA; Columbia, SC, & Charleston, SC, for the period 10/1/95 - 9/30/96 with 2 option years. Contractor must (1) be able to receive third party insurance claims electronically in UB-82, UB-92, or HCFA 1500 format, and then process to the individual payors; (2) must be able to transmit electronically to all Blue Cross/Blue Shield carriers nationwide that have electronic billing capabilities; (3) must be able to electronically transmit to all insurance companies that have electronic billing capabilities (a list of companies will be furnished to the successful bidder); (4) must be able to interface via-contractor software with Medical Care Cost Recovery, Integrated Billing Package 2.0 MUMPS language; (5) must have capability to electronically interface with those carriers who have electronic insurance verification and pre-certification capabilities; (6) all software interfaces will be at the expense of the contractor.
