R -- SUPERVISION, AIR MONITORING AND SUPPORT IN CONNECTION WITH ASBESTOS REMOVAL FROM VARIOUS TRANSIT AUTHORITY FACILITIES SOL CM-1005. DUE 072195. Contact Point, Hosie R. Fason, (718) 694-4115. Consultant services are required for the supervision, air-monitoring and support of asbestos removal to be provided by one or more contractors, at the Authority's facilities located within the five (5) boroughs of New York City. The consultant is to provide all manpower, equipment and materials necessary to provide these services. The Consultant will act as the on-site representative for the Transit Authority and will have the authority to direct the actions of the contractor as necessary. The Consultant is to be on-site at all times during the asbestos removal project, from initial preparation of the work area, during the abatement operation, through final clean-up and acceptance of the job. The Consultant is responsible for ensuring that the asbestos abatement work is performed in compliance with the technical specifications of the asbestos abatement contract and all the applicable rules and regulations. The Transit Authority will consider the following factors equally in evaluating proposers: 1. Adequacy and completeness of the proposal with regard to the overall requirements of the work and all other requirements of the RFP; 2. Proposed price/cost for the work; 3. Proposer's proposed management of the project as evidenced by, for example, the experience and qualifications of the personnel who will work on the project in relevant areas, as demonstrated in meeting all the requirements described in the scope of work; 4. Proposer's prior experience in providing this service or services similar to those proposed including past experience/performance on Authority projects; and 5. Proposer's financial resources and stability, professional licensing and business responsibility. The consultant services shall be provided on an as-needed basis to a maximum total contract value of $3Mil. This contract will be awarded to one or more consultants. This contract will contain the following subcontracting provisions: Minority business subcontracting goal of 15% Woman-owned business subcontracting goal of 5% The duration of the contract(s) will be 36 months.
