Work includes the following items and incidental related work: Construct a 1540 SF addition with concrete masonry walls on spread footing foundation, and steel roof decking supported by steel beams. Construct interior partitions; install carpet, suspended ceiling, thermal-insulated windows, entry door. Install built-up roof with white reflective coating and tie into existing adjacent roof. Provide roof-mounted package HVAC unit and distribution. In the existing building, remove existing restroom, including fixtures, tile walls and floor, and plumbing. Provide 250 square foot restrooms and shower room with tile finishes, fixtures, plumbing, etc. Remove and replace acoustical ceiling tiles in several rooms. Remove existing and provide new electric water heater. Sitework includes the following: relocate 60' high steel communications antenna; remove existing paving; provide concrete walk and wheel chair ramp; patch paving at perimeter of new work, and stripe parking spaces. The project is located at the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ. This solicitation is not 100% set aside for small business. Potential bidders should request copies of plans and specifications approximately 10 days after this publication. Standard industrial code is 1542. Small business size standard is 17.0 million. Plans and specifications should be available approximately 13 June 1995 on a first come first serve basis. Magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000.
