Ram Hood Conversion Kit for the CIWS PHALANX Program. The Government requires a quantity of twenty-nine (29) each conversion kits to convert antennas to the radar absorbent material (RAM) hood configuration. The parts that are included in each of the twenty-nine (29) kits consist of machine shop items that are manufactured from a high density material (tungsten), C-1010 steel, and 6061-T6 aluminum alloy; a shroud fabricated on a mold using multiple layers of fabricated glass and aluminum foil (sandwiched between layers on fabricated glass); radar absorbent material and various other hardware. There is a First Article requirement (Contractor Testing) for offerors not having previously furnished these items or similar items. Contractor will be required to provide data in accordance with the Contract Data Requirements List, DD Form 1423-1 (FA Test/Inspection Reports, Production Lot/Inspection Reports). This is a first time procurement, no history is available. Delivery will be a critical evaluation factor for award. With First Article, FA due 200 DAC, production units due 420 DAC.
