Stapleton, (202)565-8004 The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a request for proposals to provide technical support services for the Veterans Support Network (VETSNET). The services to be provided will be the highest quality of professional support for software development, systems maintenance, and associated services to assist in-house resources. Expertise and support are needed in the following, though not all inclusive, major areas: program/project management support, software and information engineering, systems redevelopment, systems support, new technology usability testing support, and training. The VA will evaluate proposals for award of two contracts. One contract award will be limited to firms qualified in the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program and one contract award will be unrestricted, full and open competition. Only one RFP will be issued. The solicitation will be issued not less than 15 days after this synopsis appears in print. ONLY written requests will be accepted for copies of the solicitation document, RFP 101-53-95. The written request must be submitted to the above address and must state the firms business classification, i.e. small business, large business, 8(a) qualified business.
