Equipment located at USGS Western Region, Menlo Park and Palo Alto, CA. CPUs include DEC VAX 4000 Model 200, Alpha 3000 Model 400, and 11/785. Peripherals include reel-to-reel subsystem with 7 Telex 6253 tape drives, Logic Sciences HSR-11A rasterizer, Floating Point Systems AP120B array processors, Versatec plotter, and various tape, CD-ROM and hard disk drives, optical disk drives, communications interfaces, printers, terminals, and monitors manufactured by DEC and other OEMs. Preventive maintenance frequency and quality must, at minimum, equal OEM's standard commercial maintenance contracts for like equipment. Remedial maintenance response within 4 hours during principal period of maintenance of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday for most DEC systems, and as specified in the RFP for peripherals. Expected performance period 10/1/95 or date of award through 9/30/96 with two one-year options to extend the contract through 9/30/98. Successful offeror will have expertise in maintaining all systems and all peripherals listed in the RFP, shown by current or recent verifiable experience. Small business set-aside, see Note 1.
