This project consists of upgrading the electrical distribution system to correct system deficiencies. The following work shall be performed: (1) Installation of a temporary pole-mounted voltage regulator platform equipped with three single-phase 333k VA, 7.62kV voltage regulators mounted on a platform type structure, and (2) installation of a permanent regulator station mounted on a concrete slab equipped with three single-phase 833kVA, 7.62kV voltage regulators, a vacuum reclosure, lightening arrestors, transformers, etc. The work shall be performed at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. Performance time is 77 days. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This proposed acquisition is being considered for 100% set aside for small disadvantaged business firms (SDB). Interested SDB firms need to submit their interest not later than 3 Jul 95 and provide evidence of eligibility. If adequate interest is not received from SDB firms, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted; therefore, replies are requested from all business concerns. SDB eligibility evidence to include performance references, previous similar projects completed and positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, along with bonding capability.
