23 -- SPECIALIZED CARGO TRAILERS SOL DCA100-95-R-0072 DUE 072495 POC Contact Alvis David, 703/607-6894, Contracting Officer Purchase of two (2) forty-eight (48) foot box trailers with an option to purchase two (2) additional ones. Each trailer must be the following minimum requirements: 48 feet in length, 102 inches in width, with a height not to exceed 12 feet, six inches. The loaed capacity shall be 40,000 lbs, with air ride suspension at the rear axles, and a minimum of 94 inches wide trailer door. The trailers shall include both interior and exterior lights. The interior of the trailer shall have a wood deck with plywood finished walls. The exterior shall be painted with white Imron paint with color stripe, mud flaps, and manually operated landing legs. Documentation shall be provided and should include detailed service and maintenance manuals for all of the trailer components. The warranty shall be the stanrard one (1) year warranty and inclusive of any parts that need repair and/ or replacement shall be provided by the contractor at no additinal cost to the government. The government also will include in the solicitation the acceptance test criterion for the specialized trailers. All interested parties must submit a written request for a copy of the solicitation within 15 calendar days of this notification. The request should be written on company letter head, and include the title of the requriement as well as the solicitation number and the Contracting Office's name, address/code and point of contract.
