70 -- DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF AN AUTOMATED GEOTECHNICAL DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM (GEOTECHNICAL INSTRUMENTATION SERVICES) SOL DACW61-95-B-0065. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for the design and installation of an automated geotechnical data acquisition system at Francis E. Walter Dam near White Haven, Pennsylvania. Delegation of Procurement Authority Number CENAP-95-006 applies to this action. As this contract will be funded by Fiscal Year 1995 funds, the contract performance completion date shall be no later than September 30, 1995. The work involves retrofitting the existing 3/4'' inside diameter open-standpipe piezometers with automated monitoring devices, and constructing a data collection and communication system to enable remote instrument monitoring from a station at the dam operations office as well as from a station at the Philadelphia District Office. The solicitation will include an option for eight (8) additional automated transducers. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the project site prior to the date established for the receipt of bids. All work shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions of Solicitation Number DACW61-95-B-0065. The solicitation will be issued on or about June 30, 1995, with a bid opening date of on or about July 31, 1995.
