A -- DRIVER PERCEPTION OF HIGHWAY HAZARDS SOL DTFH61-95-R-00120 DUE 073195 POC John J. Nanartowicz III, Contract Specialist, 202-366-4247. The objective of this procurement is to investigate the visual cues that drivers use to identify hazards in the highway environment. The results of the investigation shall aid the development of improved traffic control devices and other traffic engineering improvements for freeways, two-lane rural roadways, and city streets. The expected period of perfomance is 30 months. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FHWA. This is a full and open competitive solicitation. To expedite your request, please furnish two (2) self-addressed gummed labels for each solicitation requested. The FHWA is requesting the labels so that no translation errors are made when the FHWA issues the solicitations. The solicitation number should appear on the bottom edge of the labels.
