The Product Manager - Small Arms at the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) is soliciting information on existing items of materiel which can enhance the battlefield effectiveness of infantrymen. Information to be supplied should include product literature, pictures, item identification, intended mission or function (what existing Army item will be replaced, if applicable), physical parameters, description, approximate unit cost, production status and any other data considered relevant to the purpose of this survey. Responses must be limited to items which are off the shelf or in near term production status. Information received by the Government will be reviewed by a Technical Evaluation panel to assess technical feasibility and near term production capability with the results presented to the appropriate U.S. Army Schools and Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) as potential FT97 Soldier Enchancement Projects. All information previously submitted under the Soldier Enchancement Program has been evaluated, presented through the schools, TRADOC System Manager (TSM) - Soldier and Product Manager (PM) - Soldier and need not be resubmitted. It is requested that all responses to this notification be received by the Government NO LATER THAN 1 September 1995. (0165)
