Jones, Contracting Officer/301-443-6550 DHHS/PHS/Division of Acquisition Management, ADP Acquisitions Branch has a requirement to renew the licensing of SAS Microcomputer Software. The Government knows of one source, SAS Institute, Inc., SAS Circle, P.O. Box 8000, Cary, N.C. 27512, that has the capability of providing this service. The Contractor shall provide the Parklawn Computer Center (PCC) with licensing authority to distribute copies of various SAS microcomputer products to its 500 users throughout the continental United States. The licenses include the following software packages for DOS, Windows and OS/2: SAS for the PC; SAS/AF; SAS/ASSIST; SAS/CALC; SAS/CONNECT; SAS/STAT; SAS/EIS; SAS/FSP; SAS/GRAPH; SAS/TUTOR; SAS/IML; SAS/LAB; SAS/INSIGHT; SAS/ACCESS; SAS/OR; SAS/QC and SAS/ETS. These microcomputer software products are compatible with SAS processing and SAS files generated on the PCC mainframe computer. They are used both in stand-alone mode and in processing data which is uploaded to and/or downloaded from the mainframe computer. This requirement includes an Enterprise Computing Offer (ECO) that allows the Government to receive essential tools for data access and management, data analysis, data presentation, applications development, distributed processing and customized end-user interface, plus introductory online training. ECO also allows the addition of operating platforms within families (DOS, OS/2) to the existing computing mix. All software must be capable of operating on an IBM or IBM compatible microcomputer under OS/2, Windows or DOS. All software must be totally compatible with or totally capable of processing files created by SAS on mainframe computers. The anticipated period of performance is September 1, 1995 through August 31, 1996 with four (4) twelve-month option periods. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. Concerns having the ability to provide the services stated above must submit written notification that demonstrates the ability to satisfy the requirements addressed to the attention of Nickie McKenna, referencing Solicitation Number 213-95-0028. If no affirmative responses are received within 45 days from the date this synopsis is published, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the acquisition to SAS Institute, Inc.
