Ann Maris The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has
a requirement for a Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer for
the quantitation of individual components in a mixture of gases used
in gas sensor studies. This instrument shall meet the following
requirements and/or contain the following features: (1) The FTIR
instrument shall have special resolution less than or equal to 0.5 cm
to the minus 1; (2) a liquid nitrogen cooled MCT (mercury cadmium
telluride) detector is necessary for detecting gaseous species; (3) a
10-meter gas cell is required; and (4) user-friendly software that
provides the means for quantitation of a broad range of species in gas
mixtures with minimal to no after installation programming by the user
and contains an extensive database of reference spectra--F.O.B.
