Casebolt, (301) 443-0424 The FDA has a requirement for an upgrade package for the Finnigan MAT Magnum GC/MS/DS System (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer/Data System). The requirement includes: (1) hardware and software necessary to upgrade performance of Magnum to Smart MS/MS (MS/MS operation for ion trap, including Selected Reaction Monitoring), (2) ECD-MS (Electron Capture Detection-Mass Spectrometry), (3) Ultra-SIM (Selected Ion Monitoring), (4) Probe Interlock for changing ion volumes. Offeror shall provide all personnel, parts, and materials necessary to complete the upgrade. Offeror shall provide a ninety (90) day warranty for all parts, labor, and materials. The FDA intends to negotiate a fixed price contract for the Performance Upgrade Package on a non-competitive basis with Finnigan MAT.
