69 -- JRTC INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEM TECHNICAL SUPPORT DUE 063095 POC JOYCE WELLS, Contract Specialist, 407-380-8347 or MICHAEL MINOR, Contracting Officer, 407-380-4096 The Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) and the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) have a requirement to provide Contractor Logistical Support (CLS) services required at Fort Polk, LA for the Joint Readiness Training Center - Instrumentation System (JRTC-IS) prior to startup of scheduled Contractor Logistics Support (FY96). Due to the training rotational schedule, technical services prior to those contracted are required in man- machine interface (MMI) for the new system as it is installed. The period of performance for this effort is three months. This effort is to be sole source procured from the JRTC Instrumentation System development contractor, Cubic Defense Systems, San Diego, CA. The effort will involve technical support of the equipment being developed under the Cubic contract and requires an in depth knowledge of the JRTC-IS system architecture and design, and intimate knowledge of training concept and hardware in place at Ft. Polk for JRTC-IS. The Government does not have the descriptive documentation to convey the engineering performance characteristics or physical configuration of the JRTC-IS. No technical data/drawings are available. Sole source authority and justification is Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source. Respondents to this notice should submit, within 15 days after publication in the CBD, a statement of capability to determine their responsibility. No RFP is available. See Note 22 (0166)
