Kiely, Contract Specialist, 202/435- 6940 The United States Secret Service intends to modify contract TSS950011 with Sprint to purchase an upgrade to the network and access management systems. The system upgrade includes replacing the hardware and software used to configure, store, and load tables necessary to operate the network equipment and route calls through the network to their destination as well as the validation function performed by the access management system. Features supported by these management systems include: routing and configuration management, problem diagnostic capabilities, alarm reporting and traffic statistical analysis, accounting, and access security. Operating environment is to be based on UNIX operating system with graphical user interfaces in each of the separate software modules. The network upgrade must support current TP4800, TP3000, and TP8000 network equipment including software features specially developed for the U.S. Secret Service network. The following equipment is required for the upgrade system: A. 1ea Sprint Network Software: Release 7.0 to include network operating software, security requirements (TAMs), network management software. B. 2ea Sprint TP5830 to include hardware platform to run TAMs software. C. 2ea Sprint TP5850 to include hardware platform to run network management software. D. 2ea Sprint TP5815 Multiple workstation/ hardware platform to run TAMS/network management functions. Interested firms must submit capability statements and pricing information. Only written responses will be considered, and must be received within 15 calendar days of the date of this notice. This is a notice of intent to sole source not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is soley within the the discretion of the Government.
