Officer, 205/876-2644, Synopsis Number R151-95. The following is a
summary of the requirements for hydraulic power supply system
components to be procured for the use of powering hydraulic vibration
shakers by the Redstone Technical Test Center. The requirements are for
two individual pumping units, one cooling unit, and an option for one
additional pumping unit. Each pumping unit shall be independent in
design consisting of but not limited to a variable displacement
pressure compensated axial piston pump, electric motor, interface
plumbing, valves, piping, measurement transducers, and any other
components necessary to meet the detailed technical specifications. The
performance requirements for the individual components of each unit are
specified in the detailed technical specifications. Each unit shall be
capable of supplying a minimum oil flow of 110 gallons per minute
(gpm) at a pressure of 3500 pound per square inch (psi) continuous and
5000 psi intermediate. Each unit shall be designed to allow the user
to interface it with the hydraulic vibration exciters, as defined in
the detailed technical specification package. The cooling unit shall
also be independent in design, capable of maintaining the existing
reservoir oil at the specified temperatures. The unit shall consist of
but not be limited to a shell-in-tube heat exchanger (user will supply
ambient water), a circulating pump, electric motor, interface plumbing,
valves, piping, measurement transducers, and any other components
necessary to meet the detailed technical specification package. The
unit shall be designed to allow the user to interface it with the
existing oil reservoir, as defined in the detailed technical
specification package. The information presented here is only a summary
of the procurement requirements. The detailed performance requirements
for each of the units will be contained in the solicitation. No
