intends to negotiate a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement
N00019-95-G-0203 with Pioneer UAV, Inc. for the engineering serivces,
analysis, hardware modifications, and associated data required to
modify the Navy sea-based Pioneer Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPV)
Portable Control Station (PCS) to add auto-track capability and provide
continuous azimuth display for the PCS Internal Pilot (IP). The
engineering effort will focus on the essential changes necessary to
provide auto-tracking of the Pioneer RPV air vehicles by the PCS,
similar to that provided by the Ground Control Station (GCS), and to
provide the IP with a display of the RPV azimuth. In addition, the
contractor will fabricate modifcation hardware necessary to integrate
these modifications/changes to Pioneer system components. Pioner UAV,
Inc. is a joint venture between AAI Corportaion, Hunt Valley, MD and
Israel Aircraft Industries, Israel, and is the prime contractor for the
Pioneer RPV system. As such, Pioneer UAV Inc. is the only firm
currently possessing the data and technical expertise required to
perform this engineering and modification effort within the timeframe
