Project includes but is not limited to providing all transportation, equipment, tools, supervision, labor, and materials necessary to renovate 104 kitchen units with the removal of existing cabinets, counters, asbestos-containing vinyl flooring and equipment. Walls and ceilings shall be painted; new sheet vinyl flooring and base shall be installed; new wall cabinets, base cabinets, and counters shall be installed; new dishwashers shall be installed. A total of 104 basement units shall be upgraded with removal of existing light fixtures, outlets, and panelboards. New fluorescent fixtures shall be installed; new receptacles shall be installed; new panelboard shall be installed. New electric service shall be provided to twelve 6-plex, two 4 plex and eight 3-plex car garage units. New panelboards shall be installed; new exterior lighting shall be installed; receptacles and light fixtures shall be rewired and replaced with new in strict accordance with plans and specifications of the contract as specified in the Technical Provisions and Drawings for this project, JFSD# 913013. Plans and specifications for this project will be issued only on 3 1/2'' computer disk. Plans will be AutoCADD 12 files and specifications will be Microsoft Word for Windows 2.0 files. A list of suggested local firms able to print these documents will be available. The magnitude is between $500,000 and $1 Mil. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intentions to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 26 Jun 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. Project requirements will be made available on or about 03 Jul 95. All requests must be in writing and must include the business size (small or large) and whether they are women owned or disadvantaged. (164)
