The U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command proposes to acquire on a sole source basis from Raytheon Aircraft Corporation, continued supplies and services in support of the Army U-21/RU-21, C-12/RC-12 series aircraft. The scope of the basic contract will include maintenance of aircraft, engineering services, repairs, kit development and installation, technical data, and feasibility studies as requirements materialize from the Fixed Wing Program Management Office. The proposed method of procurement is by issuing delivery orders against a requirements contract over a five year ordering period. A time and materials and cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing arrangement will be utilized. The estimated closing date for the Request for Proposal is 15 Aug 95. The Government anticipates entering into a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). See Note 22. The Government's minimum needs can only be satisfied by the unique services within the required timeframe from only one source. The intended source is Raytheon Aircraft Corporation, 9709 E.
