65 -- SERVICE OF CT SCANNER SOL N00244-95-R-5492 POC C. Fletcher, Bid Officer, (619) 532-2690/2692 or Tom O'Donnell, Contra. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to acquire service/maintenance (standard working hours and after hours) for a Government-owned (CT) scanner system on behalf of the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA on a sole source basis with General Electric Medical Systems, Irvine, CA. It is anticipated that the base year will be for a twelve (12) month period commencing 01 October 1995. In addition, two (2) one (1) year option periods will be included for evaluation. A firm fixed priced contract is anticipated. The required services shall be performed on site. It is the intention of the Government to award a single contract for all the items cited above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any interested party who contends that they are capable of providing the necessary services mentioned above in this notice, should submit specific factual data and other pertinent information as so desired, to be used as an evaluation basis to determine competence to successfully meet the requirement. All proposals received within the 45 days notice period will be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
