transportation, and supervision necessary for the replacement of
existing HVAC equipment at USCG Support Center Boston, Boston, MA
(Suffolk County). Work includes the removal of the following existing
HVAC equipment and the installation of new equipment of the same
capacity in the same locations in Building #1: (a) 4,800 CFM indoor,
ceiling mounted air handling unit with steam heating coil and
evaporator coil serving the All Hands Club bar area; (b) 9,240 CFM
indoor, ceiling mounted air handling unit with steam heating coil and
evaporator coil serving the Function Hall area; (c) 4,800 CFM indoor,
ceiling mounted return air fan serving the All Hands Club bar area; (d)
9,240 CFM indoor, ceiling mounted return air fan serving the Function
Hall area; and, (e) 15 ton nominal capacity, roof mounted, air cooled
condensing unit serving the All Hands Club bar area. The project also
involves the removal of the existing pneumatic control system and
installation of a new electric control system. Estimated cost of this
project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Solicitation packages to
be available on or about July 10, 1995. There is a $20.00
non-refundable charge for the bid package which may be obtained by

procurement is unrestricted and is being issued pursuant to the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration program. THIS NOTICE IS FOR
INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMAN OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED
ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority,
woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short
term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related
contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at
any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply
for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per
contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a
surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short
Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts
receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For
