Z -- Z-INSTALL AND REPAIR ROOFING ON MISCELLANEOUS TYPE FACILITIES LAFB POC JOHNIE JOHNSON tel: 210/671-1700/BOBBIE CLARK PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: This presolicitation notice is for install and Repair roofing on miscellaneous type facilities up to three stories high on Lackland Air Force Base and Lackland Annex. A limited amount of work could be on a 10-story medical facility. Roof types include but are not limited to steel metal systems, 20-year warrantable hot and cold-applied built-up systems and modified bitumen system. Full systems are defined as complete, warrantable systems including all fasteners, insulation, base sheets and flashing. Some applications could be for uninsulated roll roofing. Some repair of steel, concrete and wood decks. Sheet metal work consists of fabrication/repair of fascias, gutters, downpipes and miscellaneous customs sheet metal items. A limited amount of lead and asbestos abatement and disposal involving painted wood and metal surfaces and transite soffits and siding at the roof line could be encountered. Painting of wood and metal, application of elastomeric coatings, erection of structural steel tubing roof/canopy supports on concrete footing and installation of vertical metal panels also form a part of this contract. The magnitude of this project (including three option years), is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance period is one year with three option years. Guaranteed minimum order amount for the basic year and the opiton year is $100,000 (basic year), $75,000 (lst option year), $75,000 (2nd option year), and $50,000 (3rd option year). Interested concerns should as early as possible, but not later than 15 days after this notice is published, indicate interest by responding to the contracting office listed above, and provide evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with telephone numbers, points of contact and contact numbers) and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. In addition, evidence of ability to secure bonds relating to this project. Note: a 20% Bid bond will be required. Performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful bidder. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Replies to this notice is requested from all interested business firms as well as SDB concerns. All responses to this presolicitation notice and all questions must be in writing or faxed to (210) 671-3179. Telephonic responses will not be honored. Solicitation should be issued on or about 26 July 1995 with a bid opening scheduled for approximately 30 days after issuance. SIC Code is 1761.
